BE IN MY MUSIC VIDEO! We’ve extended the deadline to submit photos for possible inclusion in the music video for my forthcoming single, “You Called Me Kid.”
WEST COAST MINI-TOUR!
This is not an April Fool’s Day prank. It’s all happening!
I’m hitting the road for the first time since 2003 when Matthew Sweet, Shawn Mullins and I toured as The Thorns.
I’ll be joined, as always, by my trusty sidekick, Elaine Summers.
We’ll be leaning heavily on songs from my debut album, Necktie Second, which is getting the double vinyl deluxe reissue treatment this year.
Since my last tour with The Thorns, Elaine and I have racked up countless hours singing in our living room. We often say, ‘That sounded pretty darn good. It’s a shame nobody got to hear it.’ So, in the last year, we booked a few gigs close to home, and they went amazingly well. The natural next step was to take the show on the road.

TWO BENEFITS IN SEATTLE!
Elaine and I will play a couple of songs at a couple of benefits in Seattle in the coming months.
SMASH BENEFIT • April 24, 2025 • The Crocodile
First up is the annual SMASH Benefit. This year, Seattle area musicians take the stage at The Crocodile and join house band Wild Rumours to pay tribute to the music of Fleetwood Mac. The lineup includes Ayron Jones, Eva Walker, Ian Moore, Jeff Fielder, John Roderick, Kim Virant, Mark Pickerel, Molly Sides, Shaina Shepherd, Star Anna, Tekla Waterfield, TeZA Talks and Tomo Nakayama. For more, visit www.smashseattle.org.
DREAMING IN ANALOG • May 9, 2025 • The Moore Theater
Presented by KEXP and hosted by John Richards, Dreaming in Analog will celebrate the memory of beloved music journalist Charles R. Cross. Nancy Wilson, Sir Mix-a-Lot and Chris Ballew top a bill chock full of Seattle luminaries. The event is a no-ask fundraiser. Ticket purchase covers production costs, with proceeds supporting the Charles R. Cross Music Writer’s Grant. For more, visit www.dream-in-analog.com.
Below is a nice snapshot capturing a joyful moment from Saturday’s gig at Vashon Center For The Arts. Look for a gig recap post soon. Until then…
Peace & Love Songs,

This perk for paid subscribers is available whenever possible. In some cases, it is not.
Damn, stop toying with my emotions! Saw the Instagram post and nearly shit my pants... only to find out it's a mini tour on the west coast while I'm stuck here in Maryland! I think I understand what a massive undertaking it is for an independent artist to go on tour, but only seeing you live once in my life is far from enough. Rams Head onstage in Annapolis, MD would be the perfect place for you to play.
Killer news!!
