Loved every minute of the show. For me your delivery with just an acoustic and two voices cast a bunch of your songs in a new light -- ones I thought I knew well but heard differently. Impossible for you to go wrong given the quality of your songs, you could pick anything! Still some surprises and I loved the newest one in the second set. Great first trip to Vashon, an excuse to visit local friends. Will be back!

Brakeman! Pulling out all of the stops 😜. I just never imagined opening with that one because I never pictured it acoustic. Wish I could have heard that and everything else!

Thank you for sharing the set list too. Sounds like a perfect show.

Already have friends asking me who that is singing your lonely mama track👍

Hi Pete...what a great show. Loved the tweaks on the rhythm and phrasing on most of the songs that fit so well with the acoustic evening, yet maintained the essence of your composing that is so good. Would've loved to hang around after and share a pretty compelling personal story related to Going Whichever Way, but, had to make that ferry! But, needless to say, I was thrilled you did it and I do thank you for including it. Congrats on such a great show!

Pete,

How it is that through many years, great artists, such as yourself, are able to winnow, reduce, and pare down, so that the net effect is the polar opposite: Work through its sheer simplicity alludes to — everything? Magical. And let me add that your time and groove on that guitar makes you one of the all time great drummers. Take note guitarists!

Hi Peter- Thank you for this! This one of those songs that begged for 'sheer simplicity.' Regarding time and groove... that's my feel... the downtempo laid back vibe is my happy place. Soon some local musician pals and I are going to get together to just play for fun... and I get to be the DRUMMER!!! I love drumming.
