I've been out of town the past few weeks on a family vacation to Ireland (AMAZING) and am just now catching up on emails, etc. These lyrics, I feel are some of your most beautiful. "Darkness has a way of shedding light on me"...one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing where they came from and what inspired them.
Absolutely love this version Pete. Thank you for sharing. Two questions…any option to purchase? I’d like to add to my 6000+ songs on my iPhone and I’m old school. Prefer to support artists via purchase versus streaming. Also..any chance to obtain the guitar chords and capo positioning assuming you’re using? Hard to capture that in the video. Thank you for the consideration.
Glad you dig this version. The capo is placed on the fifth fret. And the chords are played in the shape of C G/B Ami7 & F9. Hopefully that is enough info to get you going. If not, let me know and maybe I can post a video tutorial one day.
And to thank you for being a paid subscriber, I'll get you a copy. It's gonna take me a bit of time before I can get into the session and covert the file from video to audio, so thanks for your patience.
What an incredible version to an already beautiful song on an amazing album. The sonics to all of your songs are outstanding. There just seems to be so much clarity but yet depth.
Thanks, Brian- Glad to hear that you dig the sonics... we work hard at that. On Spacey and Shakin' I was blessed to work with the great producer Brendan O'Brien and killer engineer Russ Fowler.
Smooth. I've looked through those sliding glass doors myself and can see how that view can inspire. Now you have an even bigger sliding glass door. Maybe another inspiration is near. Cheers.

Great song and great performance. That makes 3 ,by my count, on the couch series. 7 more to go ;-)
Thanks, Brian. More on the way!
Thanks for the song man!
I’ve carried that line with me “most regrets I’ve gathered came from caving in”.
Wonderful reminder to listen to your heart. Don’t give in. Truth.
Can’t believe it has been so long. 26 years gone in a blink.
You're welcome, Jeff. I always feel it when I sing that line.
Top notch song bud. Another ear worm planted. You just smoothed out the jagged edges of my mood. Thank you.
Thanks, Chris! Happy to help smooth out those jagged edges.
Happy anniversary! Always dug this tune. Thanks for the link. I shall buy something.
Thanks, Buzzy. I can't believe it's been 25 years! Glad to hear you dig the song.

Hi Steve-O! The island is an inspiring place, that's for sure.
After reading what inspired you to write the song, it makes it even better!
Thanks, BroGreg. I'm really enjoying sharing that kind of stuff here on Subsatck. Glad to hear it's making the song a richer experience for you.
Love it!
Thanks, Hawk n Roll!
