Dig it as always buddy! DAMN! The strings on "No Blue Sky" are AWESOME LUSH MELODIC HARMONIC! Starting the podcast you were just on now...rock on.

Thanks, Chris. Glad you dig. Buckmaster knocked it out of the park.

What I liked about the Thorns is how precise the vocals and the music was. Sort of like watching the greatness of a Steely Dan concert. I fortunately was able to see them 3 times when you played in the DC / VA area. All shows were fantastic! I believed that you played Blue the same night that the Jayhawks played it as well. Your version took the prize that night. Who was it that played the drums on your tour?

Hi BroGreg.... I'll be posting a live recording in a couple of weeks that shows what a great live band we had. Drummer was Rob Brill... the very Sinner himself. Rob did an amazing job of taking Keltner's drum parts and making them his own. That's funny that we would play "Blue" when opening for The Jayhawks!

Jim Keltner! Wow! His name is all over my record collection. Thanks for the stories, Pete. However briefly the Thorns fireball raced across the sky, it burned hot and bright!

It's mind boggling all the great records Jim was a part of. Thanks for the kind words about The Thorns.

Great stories! Thanks for sharing. My friends are opening (again) for Marc Ford next month. Phil Jones is playing drums with Marc. While listening to the RR Podcast I thought, what would Pete ask Phil about Full Moon Fever that he doesn't already know? Looking forward to the next Thorns installment.

Thanks, Buzzy. Glad to hear you are digging the stories. I would ask what type of drums were used on "Yer so Bad." They sound amazing. Anyway... as you could tell from the podcast, I love that record!
