Today is the New Moon, and that means new music!
On my About page, I promised my paid subscribers new music before it was released.
To make good on this promise, beyond the paywall, at the bottom of this post is a special DISCO link to an advance copy of my brand new (old) single, “Only Have Eyes.” You can stream or download the song as either Hi-Res 24bit AIF, CD Quality 16bit AIF or MP3.
“Only Have Eyes” is an outtake from The Droge & Summers Blend project. Blend, as I call it, was my harmony-rich side project with my partner, Elaine Summers. We released two five-song EPs, Volume One (2009) and Volume Two (2014). Listen to them HERE.
Another Blend outtake, “Rooftop,” is in the can and will be released later this year. After that, we’ll release all the tracks from both EPs and the new singles on one collection called The Complete Blend Sessions.
The singles and The Complete Blend Sessions will be released under the name “Pete Droge” rather than “The Droge & Summers Blend.” We’re making this change so that these new releases will show up under my discography on streaming services. This is not meant to diminish Elaine’s contributions to this project. She co-wrote and co-produced all twelve songs, and of course, without her vocals, there would be no “blend” to speak of.
I’m happy for this little ditty to finally see the light of day. Paid subscribers can now stream or download the song by visiting the link beyond the paywall below.
