That was a good read! If you don't love me was a smash hit in the 90s with movie and all. Most definitely when thinking of 90s this song is at top of list! Necktie Second is spotify playlist worthy! You did good dude!
Hi BroGreg- Indeed... rubbing elbows with folks like Neil, Booker T, Duck, Cropper and Keltner was incredible for me. I didn't know Neil was coming through... thanks for the heads up!
I was fortunate to see that show!!!!!!!!!!! I had seen Neil a couple of nights before at the Santa Cruz Civic and then was gifted some tix to the Warfield show. So rad that you now reminded me I ACTUALLY saw you live!
I remember that after show party. I bonded with Neil’s wife. Pegi. Of course I did 😂❤️. Weren’t a few of the Los Lobos there that night? Or am I mashing up after parties?
That's cool that you bonded with Pegi. She was the coolest. I had the pleasure of spending time with her a few times and always found her to be super sweet.
Regarding Los Lobos... Now that you mention it I do seem to recall that David Hildago got up and jammed. But I might be mixing memories there too so can't say 100%. Pretty sure they were there.
I realize you do not remember the setlists you played in this post, but I'm always amazed at the details you DO remember. I would just be like, yeah, um, I don't know, something like that. Just lost in the moment. Another cool post. Thanks for sharing.

…limos are kinda gross
I love the fact that you were able to rub elbows with some of the best in the business. It must have been an incredible time in your life.
I see that Neil is coming to your fine state in July. Maybe he will need a supporting act...

Hi Kimberly- That's so cool! The Warfield is a great place to see music! I think I played the Santa Cruz Civic with Sheryl Crow at one point.
Awesome! Wish I’d seen that one too!

Lovely reminiscing. Love the flannel! 🤣
Thanks Carolyn! I miss that flannel!
Good monitors, the snare thang, and Helpless all in one night? Sounds like one for the books indeed. Thanks again for sharing the tales of those days!
Hi Jeff- Yep... one for the books. I enjoy sharing these tales. It's fun to revisit.
