Love the loose groove and higher ranged vocals to this video clip. Loved every song on this album! I was lucky enough to even secure a 3 track cd from Germany with the song Hard Morning on it and it was worth every penny and second of wait.
Back in the day I subscribed to a CD compilation service which would send me discs of tunes from artists i wasn’t familiar with. There was an NRBQ song “Little Bit of Bad” and also Straylin Street. Love that tune, especially when the tambourine kicks in. Other Pete songs were getting airplay in the SF bay area and I ended up buying Necktie Second. “So I am over you” was my go to song for electric guitar noodling for a good while! 🎸
Hi Doug- Thanks for the kind words about Straylin. I love that tambourine too. We call that a "money tambourine." It was skillfully executed by Terry McMillan. I write about Terry in a future post on the recording of Neckie. Stay tuned for that.
Great studio pic's. Good to see Cooper holding it down.
Thanks, Steve-O. Cooper did a great job of holding down the low end on Neckite. Great player.
Pete did you catch Rick Beato's recent interview of Brendan? Three (yes three) magical hours.
I did! I watched it all. GREAT stuff. A lesson in record making.
I learned a LOT!

Hi Brian- This rehearsal version has a more ramshackle vibe than the album ended up. Both are cool to me.
That CD is pretty rare. I don't even think I have a copy of it!
I never want to part with that cd but it would be worth giving the art to the artist if they wanted it. So if you ever want it, it’s yours.
Hi Brian- That's sweet of you. No need for you to part with the CD though.
Thank you Pete! Just let me know if you ever change your mind 🥲

Oh man, another taste of Pete with a full band...it was so good.
Thanks, Dan. The new record features full band arrangements... and the players are killing it. I'm super excited.
Hardest Thing To Do is still a favorite of mine. Love it.
Thanks, Buzzy.
That was a good read and a great album dude!
Thanks, Lenny. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the post.
