Do you remember where you played in DC?

We started the residency at the old 9:30 and finished it off at another club... I think it was called "15 Minutes Club."

9:30 club is a fun place for a show. Even as I get old!

This post makes me feel super nostalgic for the old 90s. Small clubs in NYC and winning over London crowds are memories for me too! I gotta give Mike a hard time about that haircut next time I see him!! As always...solid groove with barbed hooks!

Thanks, Chris.

I would have LOVED to have see PUSA in a small club in NYC back in the day!

Really enjoyed these looks back at (and new takes on) Spacey and Shakin'. Sad this is the last one! But very grateful for the album (and my copy signed at an in-store at the World Trade Center Borders). And thanks for the reminder of Fez, a cool (though very cramped!) club.

Hi James- I remember that gig at The World Trade Center... it was early in the morning as I recall. Glad you enjoyed "Spacey" month. In May I'll be celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Thorns record with a five-part series. Stay tuned for that.

Love this acoustic version and that live version sounds so good!! OMG does that stage make me feel claustrophobic.

Hi Brian- Glad you dig both versions. And yeah... the stage was tiny.

I'm happy you brought this song up as I don't really know what the song is about. Probably just me.

Wonderful! Love this song.

So was the night Sheryl Crow joined you at the Fez the moment your bands first cross pollinated? I feel like your list of shared guitar slingers is bigger than most.

My guitarist at the time was Jeff Trott... he know her before the Fez gig... that's how I met her.

She also used two of my drummers for about a minute each.

Being a drummer myself, I am surprised I forgot them! Shared members or not, the Sinners are the coolest!

Appreciation post for Mike McCready's sherwood green strat!

The strat belonged to the lead guitarist in my band at the time, Jeff Trott. Mike just borrowed it that night. It is a very cool guitar!

I first saw Jeff with Tears for Fears. Maybe 96?? One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Saw Jellyfish, who have 2 albums (only two) on my all time fav list. Then Roland and Tears were touring on their Elemental album. My favorite Tears album. They played every song from it!
