All throughout my last few days in my head I keep hearing “in the land of the rough and tumblllleeeee…..land of the rough and tumbleeeeee…” 🙂. I just love this song!

Cool... I'm glad you love it. I remember when I came up with those lines. I was quite pleased.

This is great! Reminds me something of Ram by Paul and Linda McCartney

It came to me literally today. Was in a van in Costa Rica heading from monteverde cloud forest to the coast beneath my Sony noise cancelling headphones listening to an old radio show and this song came on and I said, damn, what’s that? That’s good!

Hampton Inn, and Find a Door / Dear Diane. Personal opinion, I think Dear Diane is best when it's live! Looking forward to the show.

Thanks, Jon! Dear Diane was always fun to play live, especially with The Sinners!

like everyone else, i love this song and don't think it does need anything more (other than the new verse!).

i'm so sad i'm going to be out of town for the show. i'd been looking forward to it and not paying attention to my calendar. i'm saving set list suggestions for next year when i can be there for sure!

Would never be disappointed with anything you decide to play but since you are asking...would love to hear "Find A Door" (the title track), "Give It All Away" and "Unsinkable".

I would love to hear anything, but Beautiful Girl would be the one I'd most like to hear. That Ain't Right would probably be second, but honestly hearing you play anything would be special so the word 'disappointed' wouldn't figure in.

I've worked up "Beautiful Girl"... so that one is in the running. Have not played "That Ain't Right" in a long time... will have to dust it off and see how it feels acoustically.

Sunspot Stopwatch.... Mr. Jade.....

Thanks, Debbie. Sunspot is on the list at this point. For Mr. Jade, I really miss the band on that one so not sure it will make the cut this time for an acoustic show.

Love this song! I am ever impressed with each song you release. A happy vibe to it.

I agree with Jeff Smith. Hard to choose a “favorite” from your catalog. Above it all, Hard to Tell, Sunspot Stopwatch, Lord is Busy, Hardest thing to do, Electric Green, Mile of Fence. Is it a six hour long show?

I went to a Mike Doughty show at a small bar in Cleveland. In between songs everyone started yelling out songs that they wanted to hear. He politely answered each request with a yes, no or maybe. I always thought it was rude for the audience to do that because as a true fan I admire all of an artist’s work. How do you perceive this etiquette Pete? Is it flattering or rude?

I think we'll come in well under six hours. :)

I saw Neil Young get a little grouchy about the hollering out of requests once. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Second vote for "Island". Honestly, I've been listening to your catalog asking myself what songs I'd most want to hear and they are ALL so good, I don't know how you're going to choose. Bad news is tough choice, good news no wrong choice.

Thanks Sylvan... It has been really tough narrowing it down. "Island" is in for sure though.

I know you call it a 'demo.' I call it a 'song,' as finished as it needs to be. Wouldn't change a thing (though I know you will). Lovely tune. Liking the sing-along idea. (Could even be a shout-along!) As for the request line? Sunspot Stopwatch.

We've written a third verse since recording this 'demo' so we want to re-record it so that can be included. Sunspot is in the set we've got brewing at the moment so it looks like you'll be in luck there.

Northern Bound Train. Small TIme Blues. Devil's in the Best of Moods.

However, your question is impossible to answer. You and Elaine singing anything will not disappoint. Most of us like most or all of what you do. Just really really grateful you're doing this and that my wife and I can attend. Gonna be an EPIC night.
