A gig in 2024! The other “Island” demo! Plus, an old interview and performance from Art Zone!

Here is one of two demos we cut of “Island” before recording the fully realized version that appears on The Droge & Summers Blend Volume Two.

We included the other demo on Volume Three. It’s also on The Droge & Summers Blend Sessions, a compilation that gathers all three volumes together on one 23-song record.

Here we are being interviewed and performing “Island” on Art Zone with Nancy Guppy.

This segment was filmed on stage at Vashon Center for the Arts (VCA) just before our 2016 performance there. As I mentioned in the interview, it had been ten years since I played a proper show, not counting a few benefit gigs where I only played a few songs. Now, it’s been seven years since my last real gig at Chautauqua Music Festival in 2017.

I will return to the VCA stage in 2024. Paid subscribers to Love Songs Etc will have early access to tickets. Stay tuned to this space for updates.
