EARLY BIRD TICKETS + A BIRTHDAY
VCA show tickets link for paid subscribers! Plus, Love Songs Etc turns one!
Paid subscribers can now scoop up the best seats for my 3/30/24 show at Vashon Center for the Arts by visiting the early bird link beyond the paywall at the bottom of this post.
Tickets for the general public will go on sale this Friday (1/19/24) at Noon Pacific.
Last time I played VCA it sold out pretty quickly, and there are a limited number of premium seats up front, so you may want to act fast.
Love Songs Etc turns one this week. Thank you all for coming along for the ride.
Here are some of my favorite posts from the past year.
SKELETON CREW (2/2) - Video Performance
Here's a video of Elaine Summers and I singing "Skeleton Crew" in our living room. This version is similar to the single from March of 2020. I'm playing the same guitar. It's my fancy guitar—a Goodall Grand Concert with silk and steel strings. And like on the record, I'm strumming with my fingers.
FADING FAST 02 - Behind the Lyrics
Normally, I like to let the lyrics speak for themselves, but in this case I thought it would be fun to share some bits of backstory.
SO I AM OVER YOU - Old Demo
To celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of my 1993 showcase at South by Southwest, I share a song from the demo that got my career off the ground. This version of Necktie Second’s “So I Am Over You” comes from The McCready Demos.
TWO OF THE LUCKY ONES - The Basic Track
Fourteen years ago this week, Elaine Summers and I released The Droge & Summers Blend Volume One. The 5-song EP contains our micro-hit, “Two of the Lucky Ones.” Here is a rough mix of the basic track. This rough mix is a snapshot of how the song sounded as it came off the studio floor.
Big thanks to my paid subscribers! Your support means the world to me. As a token of my appreciation, below is a link for early bird tickets to my 3/30/24 show at VCA.
Here comes the paywall… 3… 2… 1… PAYWALL!
