I’m making a video for my forthcoming single and want you to be part of it!
I’m excited to announce an opportunity for you to contribute to a heartfelt montage for the music video for my forthcoming single, “You Called Me Kid.”
I invite you to submit photos that celebrate a parental figure in your life. Whether biological, adoptive, foster, step, grand, or other, all varieties of guardians and caregivers are welcome.
I’m looking for images that showcase both you and the person who lovingly considered you “kid” to help us create a portrait to honor the significant parental figures in our lives.
Selected images will be featured in the music video, creating a beautiful homage to those who have shaped us.
If you’d like to help spread the word, that’d be much appreciated. I’m hoping to gather lots of photos. Please consider sharing this post with your friends and family.
You can also look for me on the socials and share it there. I’m on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Plus, I recently signed up for Bluesky. And soon, I might even be rockin’ some cover tunes over on TikTok. (Requests anyone?)
Here I am with Elaine Summers performing “You Called Me Kid” at Vashon Center for the Arts last March.
We look forward to performing the song again at our upcoming VCA show on March 29, 2025. VCA is located on Vashon Island, just a 15-minute ferry boat ride from West Seattle. For tickets and info click this button.
I’ll be back in your inbox soon with NECKTIE SECOND 06 - Tour Pt. 2.
Until then, I look forward to seeing your “kid” photos!
Here’s one of mine. This photo inspired the second verse of “You Called Me Kid.”
I got this picture of us on the beach
Holding my hand and up I reach
We’re running fast away from a wave
It may be trying to chase us
But we got smiles on our faces
Peace & Love Songs,
Pete
Hi Pete long time listener, saw you at the Casbah in San Diego maybe 97? So, glad you are out for a little tour on the west cost. Got tickets at McCabe's, my wife and I. Is it to late to send a picture of me & mi father? He introduce me to rock concerts when I was young. Also, Lonely Mama is a deep & beautiful song, thank you for sharing it. Peace
Hi Pete,
I have been listening your songs since pretty much the beginning when I was growing up in the US.
"You Called Me Kid" is another great one.
What a great idea for us fans to contribute to the video! I have submitted pictures of me and my mom and me and my dad.
Greetings from Switzerland,
Lukas
